Tired of recording everything over Zoom? Ready to try new things and play around with recording in the real world? Come join in CJSR’s Audio Playground!
In this workshop, we’ll give you a quick into to using a field recorder, give you a big pile of ideas for recording sounds in a new way, and guide you through a bunch of prompts to record audio together with your CJSR pals. Try out things like soundscapes, foley work, putting poetry over found audio, and more.
If you’ve been feeling cooped up, this is your chance to stretch yourself in a new direction, try breaking some of your patterns, and shake it up. Worry less, just do it.
When: Wednesday, April 27, 6 – 8 PM
Where: Kihiw Room, Students Union Building, then outside/around SUB
Wear a mask for the indoor portion of the workshop. We’ll be capping attendance at 12. This workshop will be led by CJSR’s very own Meagan Miller and Chris Chang-Yen Phillips. No special training necessary.
