Volunteer Orientation

This general orientation will cover the basics of volunteering at CJSR, including our various departments and what is expected of volunteers. Program Director Chad Brunet will be your host and tackle any questions you may have about the volunteer experience at CJSR.

Volunteer Orientation is required for all prospective volunteers.

When: Thursday, September 30 (6:30 PM – 7:30 PM)

Remote News Training

News Training is a two-part online workshop. Both sessions are mandatory to complete this training. Across these sessions, News Coordinator Meagan Miller will give you hands-on experience in:

• Basics of interviewing
• Recording from home
• Writing for radio
• Basics of audio editing in Hindenburg

Option 1:
Wednesday, September 8 (5 PM – 7:30 PM) and
Wednesday, September 22 (5 PM – 7:30 PM)

Option 2:
Thursday, September 16 (5 PM – 7:30 PM) and
Thursday, September 23 (5 PM – 7:30 PM)
